What is the Good News?
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life". John 3:16

The Good News is this: God, the Creator of the universe and everything in it, Who could create anything He could ever desire with just a whisper, created us. He created us with a free choice to worship Him. But human nature and evil have caused us to be selfish and seek after other things. But even through all of this, God loved us so much, He stepped off His throne in heaven and wrapped Himself in human flesh, to walk on the very Earth He created, as Jesus. Jesus brought the kingdom of God to Earth. He taught us how to live righteously and in a pleasing way to God.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
God is perfect in all of His ways. Sin cannot exist in the presence of God. Jesus lived a perfect life free from sin. He willingly took on ALL of our sins and offered Himself as a sacrifice to cleanse us.

Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

But that's not where the story ends! Jesus didn't just defeat sin. He defeated death itself! After 3 days, Jesus defeated death and was raised to life again! He visited His closest friends and encouraged them to continue the work of bringing God's kingdom to earth and spreading hope for sinners. Jesus then ascended into heaven to be with the Father, but left us with His Holy presence - God, alive in us; Jesus' power working through us!

Because of the God Who created us, we were created with purpose. Because of Jesus, sin no longer has power over us, and we have a blueprint of how to bring God's kingdom to earth. Because of the Holy Spirit we have the same power Jesus has to overcome darkness in the world and bring God's great light everywhere we go!

Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

If you would like to accept the free gift of God's redemption and salvation, you only need to admit that you are a sinner and are in need of a Savior. You believe that Jesus died for your sins and only by His name you are free from your past and present sins. All you have to do is ask.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

Here is a prayer if you're not sure what to say:

Heavenly Father, King of the Universe, thank You for Your amazing love. Thank you for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins and have paid my debts and completely set me free from my sins. Forgive me for all of my wrongdoings that have separated us. I surrender my life to You. I ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to dwell inside of me and change my heart to be more like Yours. I can now boldly proclaim that evil and sin no longer have a hold over my life!
I take You now as my Lord and Savior and will serve You only.
Amen.

You are now forever changed! Go tell the world about the love you have found! Go spread the good news of the Gospel!
